Researchers from Miastopracownia attended the opening of Fitz & Sitz at the London Festival of Architecture – an initiative addressing the lack of public seating through a series of temporary installations across the city. Among them, “Bare Things” by Asia Zwierzchowska and Pei-Chi Lee stood out for its reference to Virginia Woolf and its collaborative production with local residents. The event also highlighted how something as simple as a place to sit can embody a feminist perspective, recognising rest, safety, and accessibility as fundamental urban rights often overlooked in mainstream planning. For Miastopracownia, the opening offered not only valuable insights but also opportunities for networking and exchange with designers, activists, and researchers similarly engaged in questions of care, equity, and public space.
