On Friday, 9 October 2026, XR City Sound Hunts | Voicing the Musical Memory of Place will bring together experiential design, musical heritage and immersive technologies through a seminar and practical workshop organised in the context of the Doctorate of National Interest in Artistic Research on Musical Heritage.
The programme combines an online morning session with an afternoon activity in La Spezia, giving participants the opportunity to explore the methodology behind Narratologies’ XR City Sound Hunts and experience a Sound Hunt in the city.

Exploring Sound, Place and Memory
The morning programme will focus on the practices of Experiential Design developed by the Narratologies team and the methodology behind XR City Sound Hunts.
The session will include a practical workshop where participants can work on creating their own Sound Hunt on the platform, followed by a Q&A and discussion.
The afternoon will move to La Spezia for a city-based Sound Hunt. Using the Narratologies app, participants will explore the city through sound while looking at the connections between music and place.
